Hi,
I have a TV, which has a HDMI IN
, set up box has HDMI OUT
and home theater has HDMI OUT. I dont have HDMI IN to my home theater system.
When I connect with analog audio cable from my set up box to home theater, I am getting sound from both TV and home theater system. And also for video I have HDMI cable connected from setup box to TV.
Is there a way to avoid sound from TV? Please help me on this. Your help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Shrey
Hi to you,
I have a Home Theater set up and I always use my television volume it is good not to but old habits die hard. But just enough volume to help blend the center channel in, due to my center speaker resting right on top of the television I like a more direct dialogue. If you wish not to have TV volume just simply mute or turn the volume all the way down. If your surround sound is working just fine and not interfering with the HDMI set up than the TV volume can have the day off by turning it all the way down. By the way it is normal for your box to put out sound from those analog or stereo cables that gives you the option to watch TV without the surround sound from your Home Theater being used.
