I am looking for a new home theater receiver with certain features. Can someone recommend one for me?

I am looking to replace an old Sony home theater receiver. I am looking for one with these certain features: 4 HDMI inputs, 1 HDMI output, at least 4 optical inputs, video upconversion. Can someone please recommend a good brand and model that would fit these criteria? I am also looking for a good price (of course).

Thank you for your help.

The Yamaha RX-V1800 would be the cheapest one that I can find that is a good quality brand receiver with the connections you require. Also it upconverts any video sourse (composite, s-video, component) to 1080p and decodes Dolby TrueHD and DTS HD Master Lossless audio. I think it goes for about $1,299.95.

cant have it all, with more inputs and outputs comes more $$ so first decide what it is you need and then start shopping. you can lose in the long run if you do things cheap. a good HT manufacture is Denon, Power, Connectability, and Quality are guaranteed with any of there HT receivers….goodluck.
