I bought this sony 5.1 home theater system from circuit city. I want to install the speakers within the walls, but firedog is very expensive. Are there any other local people who can install a home theater system for cheap?
Depends on where you live and looking for someone to do so. If you are just looking to run the speaker wires in the walls it very simple and easy to do. From tucking them into the rug to a little more work of fishing them threw the wall. I would recommend just removing molding on the ground and putting them in there then putting the molding back up. You will have to cut into the wall but it is very easy to do.

Running in-wall usually swamps the price of the equipment. There is a lot of labor involved, knowledge of fire codes and occasionally some special equipment like 5 ft long drill bits to get through a cross-support.
Also – exterior walls are often insulated so the price goes up to install speakers in exterior walls if they will even do this. (Do you want to drill through fiberglass and inhale the stuff?)
Lots of places can install speakers for about $125-$150 per speaker. They do in-ceiling lights as well.
But you did not buy in-wall speakers – you bought in-room speakers which are not designed to go into a wall so this will be a lot more difficult (read ‘expensive’) because they are not designed to mount into Sheetrock.
First you need to go to a store and purchase 5 in-wall speakers. Then go to your local yellow pages for Home Theater or "lighting". The skills to install in-ceiling lights and in-wall speakers is about the same so the same company often does both.
Or Radio Shack used to sell a small book on how to install wires/home theater in walls. Go get this book and see if you can do it your self.
Just make sure to use in-wall rated 12 ga speaker wire so you dont violate fire codes.

Unfortunately this is an area where you’re going to take a bath, financially speaking. The general public knows next to nothing about home theater, so those that do know how to set them are stingy with their expertise.
Unless you bought really, really good speakers you won’t want them permanently installed in your walls. Also, sometimes you can’t even install speakers in your walls unless they are actually wall speakers. I recommend you just buy speaker stands.
If you’re worried about wireless back speakers, check out the Rocketfish as Best Buy. I’m really impressed with mine.
