    i bought an optical cable, then connected that from home theater reciever to my hdtv, now anything that plays on my tv works with my home theater, like 360, ps3, cable box, it was only 10 bucks, hope this helps.

    no it doesnt. it only connects from the xbox to the sound system. the yellow and white carry sound from the tv to the xbox, and the optical cable carries sound from the xbox to the sound system.

    i actually found out how to do it without buying the cable. all i did was move the home theater closer to the tv’s back, and i was able to plug it in.

    hey thanks man. i connected the red and white cables of the ps3 to the back fo the home theater system, and then the yellow to the tv, and it worked.
    i have a 360 too, but i need a cable that allows me to separate the the yellow, red and white connectors from each other. luckily the ps3 connectors do that, but the 360′s dont. i need to go to bestbuy and find some connectors that can be separated.
