How can anyone even bear watching his videos with that god high pitched ringing?!
What’s a VCR?
What’s a VCR?
my way of getting …
my way of getting surround sound is way better and smarter..with out losing so much information on a already lousy signal..if you got a Stereo output on your tv…just hook the antenna in to your tv..and enable aux in the tv´s meny and hook it up to your surround reciever..DONE!
ahahah XD
ahahah XD
For some reason …
For some reason this video makes me want to buy a Blu-ray/VCR combo
BTW my new receiver …
BTW my new receiver supports Dolby True-HD and DTS Master-HD so I’m covered. (Yes I’m Bragging.)
If you have an A/V …
If you have an A/V receiver that supports Dolby Pro Logic 2x or DTS NEO:6, you can get 5.1, 6.1, or even 7.1 channel surround sound from 2 channel audio. Its not as good as Digital 5.1but it does work surprisingly well. My First receiver didn’t have digital so I used to watch all my DVD’s using Dolby Pro-Logic II. Try watching Silent Hill in stereo, Then go back and turn on PLII or NEO:6 decoding. It works, and it works well.
vcr FTW!

Thats just 2 …
Thats just 2 channels, not sourround sound!!!
Most cable boxes …
Most cable boxes come with a box these days so you don’t need to do this.
However, something I would recommend instead of a VCR, if you have a LCD/Plasma TV then it most likely has an Audio Out on it which will take any sound you would normally hear on your TV and send it to an amplifier or external sound source.
This is because …
This is because your stereo amplifier can emulate surround sound. So the amp can produce a 5.1 surround sound feeling from background noises and ambient sounds. Why are you not utilizing HDMI for video and optical/coax digital cable for your surround sound?
VCR? What is that? …
VCR? What is that? This is the year 2009 right?

No it’s true, …
No it’s true, stereo surround sound exists, I watched fast and the furious through a bluray player with stereo cables, and I heard stereo surround sound. Really, it’s just the same as 5.1
proper torque…. …
proper torque….LMAO!
“and now we have …
“and now we have the coaxial cable running into our vcr, and than looping back through our video cords into our stereo.” wtf? do you know what you just said? All you did was forward the audio through a composite signal into a receiver. It’s not a stereo, it’s called a receiver. And a side note… does anyone still use vcr who is looking for quality that would require a receiver that enormously large? Is there even a point to hooking up a stereo analog tape to a.. what is that 7.1 system?
i need help with …
i need help with this shit…. i got basic cable… i dont have a cable box. it comes straight out da wall… i got a 5.1 surround sound system and i can get it to work with the DVD reciever n mp3 players but i want to hear surround thru cable TV.. originally i thot i could connect an RCA to RCA cable from my TV to the surround sound receiver but that didnt work and so im lost… any ideas?

You guys do know that when you convert audio from coaxial to composite it ruins the quality of the sound.
