The R50s are great …
The R50s are great for music but the Monitors are much better for music. Since yo have a Fry’s nearby wait for the Velodyne VX-11 if you decide to upgrade, it is much better than the Polk for just a bit more.

I sawa 22 inch LCD widescreen for $500.00 from Avedia @ K-mart.
My tube tv is fine but I would like to try an LCD
Polk speakers are nice, sony makes good floor and bookshelf speakers too, both brands make the best in thier price range , that and insignia.
